"We are in each other's care."
-- Stan Taktin, PsyD
In the beginning of a relationship, our partner is the most fascinating human in the world. Everything they do has all of our attention; they are exciting and brand new! But after some time, all those cute quirks can become obnoxious. We can start to feel unseen and misunderstood.
My practice is based in neuroscience, attachment, and embodied approaches to trauma. I love helping couples work though communication difficulties and emotional mis-reads of each other.
Couples tell me that, through our work together, they are better able to "read" each other and soothe the other when emotions become overwhelming. They report feeling seen and understood for the first time in years.
